Uttar Pradesh News – A wedding in the Indian Police Service circle is drawing attention as two young officers are preparing to begin a new chapter in their personal lives. SP South Bareilly Anshika Verma and Sambhal SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi are set to get married later this month after their families finalized the alliance earlier.
Three-Day Wedding Celebrations Planned
The wedding festivities will take place over three days, beginning on March 28. Prior to the main ceremony, a traditional musical evening (Mahila Sangeet) has been scheduled as part of the celebrations.
On March 28, the wedding procession will depart from Krishna Nivas in Barmer, Rajasthan, with Krishna Kumar Bishnoi arriving with the baraat. The following morning, March 29, the couple’s farewell ceremony will take place. The celebrations will conclude with a grand reception on March 30 at a resort in Jodhpur.
Senior Officers and Political Figures Likely to Attend
The wedding is expected to be attended by several senior officials from the police department. Bareilly SSP Anurag Arya and other IPS officers are likely to be present. Apart from administrative officers, some political leaders from Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan are also expected to join the celebrations.

K.K. Bishnoi: A Trusted Officer in the State Administration
Krishna Kumar Bishnoi, a 2018-batch IPS officer, currently serves as the Superintendent of Police in Sambhal. Originally from Barmer district in Rajasthan, he belongs to a well-known Bishnoi family.
Bishnoi gained public attention following developments related to the Sambhal mosque issue and is often considered among the trusted officers of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Anshika Verma: A Young Officer Known for Modern Policing
Anshika Verma is a 2021-batch IPS officer and hails from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. She cleared the civil services examination through self-study after completing her engineering degree, without taking formal coaching.
In September 2024, she was posted as SP South in Bareilly. Before that, she served as ASP in Gorakhpur. Verma is recognized for her proactive work in areas such as women’s safety, cybercrime prevention, and technology-driven policing.
