Indore Police Record Statement of Influencer Jatin Shukla

Indore, Madhya Pradesh : Social media influencer Jatin Shukla from Uttar Pradesh appeared before the Indore Police Crime Branch on Monday to record his statement in connection with a controversial social media post about Indore MP Shankar Lalwani and the Bhagirathpura incident.

The case was registered after a complaint was filed by the MP’s representative, Vishal Gidwani. Following the complaint, Indore Police issued a notice asking Shukla to appear before authorities. Complying with the notice, Shukla reached Indore and met police officials to present his side of the matter.

During the questioning, Shukla stated that hurting anyone’s sentiments was never his intention. He also said that he had already apologized earlier and did not wish to damage the reputation of any public representative. According to him, he regrets using inappropriate language in the video and has assured that he will avoid such content in the future.

Police officials have recorded Shukla’s statement and are now examining digital evidence related to the case. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.

Earlier, Shukla had posted an objectionable message about MP Shankar Lalwani on social media, in which he also mentioned Gwalior and Mandsaur. After the case was filed, he deleted the post and shared a public apology online, admitting that the language used in the video was inappropriate.

The complaint submitted to the police included video clips and screenshots of the social media post. Based on the complaint, police registered a case against Shukla under Sections 223 and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). After issuing the notice, authorities contacted him, and he later appeared in Indore to record his statement.
