Viral Girl Monalisa – Monalisa, who gained nationwide attention after going viral during the 2025 Maha Kumbh, has approached police in Kerala claiming that she fears for her safety. The young woman arrived at the Thampanoor Police Station along with her boyfriend, Furman Khapan, and requested protection.
According to her statement to the police, her family—especially her father, Jayasingh Bhosale—is strongly opposed to her relationship. She alleged that her father has been threatening her because she wants to continue living with Furman.
Couple Says They Have Been in a Relationship for 18 Months
Monalisa told officers that she and Furman have been in a relationship for about one and a half years. The two reportedly met through Facebook and stayed in touch before developing a relationship.
Fearing strong opposition from her family, the couple decided to travel to Kerala together so they could stay safely away from potential confrontation.
Kerala Visit Linked to Debut Film Shoot
Monalisa had recently arrived in Kerala for the shooting of her debut film, The Diary of Manipur. The project is being directed by Sanoj Mishra, while actor Amit Rao is playing the lead role in the movie.
The shoot provided the reason for her presence in the state, where the latest developments unfolded.
Director Makes Serious Allegations
Director Sanoj Mishra has publicly claimed that Monalisa may have become a victim of what he described as “love jihad.” He alleged that a teacher hired to guide and support Monalisa betrayed their trust and was responsible for introducing her to Furman.
Mishra also claimed that Furman has connections with people who were involved in sending him to jail earlier. The director said the situation has left him deeply disturbed and mentally stressed, and he plans to address the matter in detail before the media soon.

Monalisa is originally from Maheshwar in the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. She first caught public attention when she visited the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj with her family to sell garlands.
