Sawai Madhopur: RPF arrested a person making reels on the railway track

Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan | With passenger safety as a top priority, the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Gangapur City, is continuously conducting special campaigns to maintain security, discipline, and law and order on railway premises, stations, and tracks.

Crossing railway tracks is not only a violation of railway rules, but also a highly dangerous and life-threatening act. Most railway accidents occur while crossing tracks, posing a risk of loss of life. Keeping this in mind, the RPF is strictly monitoring and taking effective action.

Legal Provisions

Crossing railway tracks is considered a crime under Section 147 of the Railway Act, which carries a penalty of up to six months’ imprisonment, a fine, or both.

Making reels on the tracks proved costly

Near Khandip Railway Line Vishram Meena, son of Shri Hazarilal Meena, age 37, resident of Khandip village, Police Station- Wazirpur, District Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, whose reel of dancing on the railway track went viral on social media recently, was arrested by the Railway Protection Force on March 9, 2025, and legal action was taken against him under the Railway Act.

Action Taken

Railway Protection Force, Gangapur City, has so far taken action against 51 individuals in 2026 for crossing the railway tracks as per the rules.

Appeal to Passengers

Railway Protection Force appeals to all passengers not to cross the railway line and to use only foot overbridges (FOBs) or designated safe routes to change platforms. Reels, etc., were made on the railway tracks. Even a little carelessness can cause a serious accident.
