Bollywood News: Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has once again come under legal scrutiny in connection with a long-standing cheque bounce case involving ₹9 crore. The matter was heard on April 2 in the Delhi High Court, where the court voiced its dissatisfaction over the actor’s inconsistent statements.
Presiding over the case, Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma pointed out discrepancies in the affidavit submitted earlier and the arguments presented during the hearing. The court remarked that clear answers were not being provided, raising concerns over the credibility of the submissions.

Rajpal Yadav attended the hearing through video conferencing. According to reports, the court has reserved its verdict for now. The actor has been in the spotlight for this case for quite some time and had even spent a brief period in Tihar Jail earlier in connection with the same issue.

In his defense, the actor revealed that he had already sold five of his flats and repaid a significant portion of the dues. Making an emotional appeal, he stated that he was not trying to be dramatic but was already under immense financial pressure. He even told the court that he was willing to face imprisonment again if necessary.

Amid this ongoing legal battle, Rajpal Yadav is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Bhoot Bangla. Directed by Priyadarshan, the horror-comedy features an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Asrani. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on April 10.
