Miller’s fifty takes South Africa to 187, Bumrah takes three wickets

Early setbacks falter

South Africa did not have a good start. The team suffered its second setback at 12 when Aiden Markram was dismissed for just four runs. He was caught by Hardik Pandya off Arshdeep Singh. Even after this, the Indian bowlers maintained the pressure.

The third wicket also fell quickly. Jasprit Bumrah had Ryan Rickelton caught by Shivam Dube for seven runs. Amidst the continuous fall of wickets, South Africa had to play cautiously.

Brevis and Miller took charge

Dewald Brevis tried to steady the team by playing a useful innings of 45 runs. However, he couldn’t convert it into a big innings and was caught by Abhishek off Shivam Dubey. Miller, on the other hand, held his nerve and scored quickly.

Indian bowlers strike in the end

Marco Jansen was dismissed by Arshdeep Singh for two runs. His catch was taken by Rinku Singh. Corbin Bosch also didn’t last long, falling to Bumrah for seven runs.

Jasprit Bumrah was the most successful bowler for India, taking three wickets. Arshdeep Singh took two wickets, while Varun Chakravarthy and Shivam Dubey took one wicket each.

South Africa eventually posted a competitive total of 187 runs in 20 overs, making the match expected to be exciting.
