Karauli, Rajasthan : District Collector Neelabh Saxena stated that the Kailadevi Fair in the district begins on March 16. All officials should remain active in the preparations for the fair, establishing coordination and ensuring that all fair-related arrangements and assigned responsibilities are completed before the stipulated timeframe, so that devotees attending the fair do not face any problems.
The District Collector was addressing officials present at a meeting regarding the Kailadevi Fair held in the Collectorate auditorium on Friday. He directed the officials concerned to complete their responsibilities in coordination with the established action plan, ensuring no disruptions occur during the fair.
The District Collector stated that under the fair management system in the district, gram panchayats near the fair site have been allocated Rs. 1 lakh per gram panchayat. The officials concerned should utilize this appropriately to ensure that necessary basic facilities are provided for the devotees at the respective sites. The District Collector instructed the concerned officials to designate parking spaces during the fair, install signboards, take strict action against those charging fees in excess of the prescribed fee, maintain proper cleanliness, and ensure adequate provision of mobile toilets.

He stated in the meeting that separate arrangements should be made for stray animals in coordination with the Gram Panchayat Animal Husbandry Department to ensure stray animals are not visible at the fair. He directed the Transport Department and Police Department officials to take necessary action against illegal and overloaded vehicles during the fair.
The District Collector directed the police, Public Works Department, and Panchayati Raj to coordinate and remove encroachments on the footpaths leading to Kailadevi. He also directed the concerned trust to ensure parking, lighting, and drinking water arrangements before the fair begins. He stated that littering will not be tolerated under any circumstances during the fair.
The District Collector also directed that the cleaning of water resources at the fair grounds be completed within the stipulated timeframe. He said that adequate CCTV cameras should be installed in the fair premises to prevent unwanted activities. He directed officials to ensure uninterrupted, quality electricity supply 24 hours a day during the fair, as well as tighten loose wires, repair poles, and tighten loose and dangling wires from Surauth to Kailadevi.

The District Collector directed the District Transport Officer to issue permits to private buses, establish temporary transport posts, and direct the Chief Medical Officer to maintain 24-hour medical services. He also directed officials to regularly monitor and collect samples from food stalls set up during the fair, and directed the Logistics Department to ensure adequate supply of petrol and diesel.
He also directed the Municipal Council Commissioner to ensure cleanliness and establish a control room before the fair begins. At the meeting, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kailadevi stated that adequate police force would be deployed to strengthen security for devotees attending the Kailadevi Fair and directed strict action against those causing disturbance during the fair. He also directed the Excise Officer to ensure that liquor shops are not operated before 10 a.m. and after 8 p.m. Strict action should be taken against those violating the rules.
Superintendent of Police Lokesh Sonwal directed police officers to remain vigilant and proactive regarding law and order, working in coordination with the SDRF, Civil Defense, and NCC.

Additional District Collector Hemraj Paridwal, Chief Executive Officer Shivcharan Meena, Assistant Director of the Information and Public Relations Office Dharmendra Meena, Sub-Divisional Officer Karauli Premraj Meena, Hemraj Gurjar, representatives of the Kailadevi Temple Trust, and officials from various departments, including water supply, medical, animal husbandry, and logistics, were present.
