Karauli, Rajasthan : District Collector Neelabh Saxena stated that the active participation of women is essential for the overall development of the country. He stated that development is impossible without women’s participation. Educating a girl child educates the entire family and brings positive change to society. He emphasized that women play an important role in every sphere of society.
The District Collector was speaking as the chief guest at a district-level function organized by the Women’s Empowerment Department at the Town Hall located at the Information Center on the occasion of International Women’s Day on Sunday. Addressing Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers, he said that no task is small or large; only when performed with dedication and responsibility can positive results be achieved.

He emphasized that women should strive to bring about social reforms, strengthen health services, improve nutrition levels, and effectively implement schemes in accordance with the standards set by the NITI Aayog. He also placed special emphasis on eliminating social evils and promoting girl education.
On this occasion, a state-level program chaired by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma from Hanumangarh was broadcast live in the Town Hall via virtual medium. During the program, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹1008 crore in Hanumangarh district. Several important announcements were also made for women’s empowerment in the 2026-27 budget, which will play a crucial role in empowering women socially and economically.

At the beginning of the program, Assistant Director of the Women’s Empowerment Department, Aniruddha Sharma, called for promoting girl child education, empowering women, and extending the benefits of various state government schemes to the village level.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Saathins, Anganwadi workers, Sahayikas, Asha Sahayoginis, and other women who have performed outstanding work in the field of women’s empowerment were honored with certificates and mementos. Attractive cultural performances were also presented by schoolgirls during the program.
Additional District Collector Hemraj Paridwal, Joint Director of DoIT Prem Kishan, Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department Jagdish Meena, Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations Department Dharmendra Meena, representatives of voluntary organizations, Anganwadi workers, Saathin, Asha Sahayogi and a large number of women were present in the function.
