Tehran / Islamabad : In a firm and assertive address, Mojtaba Khamenei, the newly appointed Supreme Leader of Iran, declared that both the United States and Israel would be held accountable for what he described as acts of aggression.

Speaking during ongoing diplomatic talks in Islamabad, Khamenei emphasized that Iran would not allow its adversaries to escape consequences, calling for compensation for damages and greater authority over the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

“Iran Has Emerged Victorious”

In his national address, Khamenei confidently claimed that Iran had come out on top in the ongoing tensions across West Asia. He praised both citizens and armed forces for their resilience and unity.

“With faith and determination, the people of Iran have secured a decisive victory in this region,” he stated.

Demand for Compensation and Strategic Control

Khamenei made it clear that Iran would pursue reparations for the damage caused during the conflict. This includes:

  • Compensation for destruction
  • Financial support for families of those killed
  • Aid for injured soldiers

He also highlighted Iran’s intention to strengthen its role in managing the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil route.

Public Mobilization Encouraged

The Supreme Leader urged citizens to remain actively engaged by forming human chains and participating in public gatherings.

He stressed that even though there may be a temporary pause in fighting, the conflict is far from over. According to him, public presence in streets, neighborhoods, and mosques can influence the outcome of ongoing negotiations.

Ceasefire Under Strain

The already fragile ceasefire between the United States and Iran appears uncertain. Despite Iran’s claims that certain regions are covered under the agreement, Israel has continued its military actions in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Washington and Israel maintain that the ceasefire does not apply to targets linked with Hezbollah. This disagreement has added further tension to diplomatic efforts and increased the risk of renewed escalation.

Rising Uncertainty in the Region

With conflicting interpretations of the ceasefire and continued military actions, the situation in West Asia remains volatile. Diplomatic talks continue, but the possibility of further conflict cannot be ruled out.
