Hindaun City: Body of Youth Missing for Two Months Found in Well

Hindaun City (Karauli) : A sensational case has come to light in Hindaun City, located in the Karauli district. Here, the body of a young man—who had been missing for approximately two months—was recovered from a dry well situated in the fields near the village of Gaonda Meena. Upon receiving news of the incident, a stir spread throughout the local area, and a large crowd of villagers gathered at the scene.

Body Found in 80-Foot-Deep Well

According to reports, villagers spotted the body in a dry well located on the outskirts of the village and immediately informed the Sadar Police Station. Station House Officer (SHO) Purushottam Singh arrived at the scene with his team.

Due to the well’s depth—estimated at around 80 feet—extracting the body proved to be a arduous task. Ultimately, with the assistance of the villagers, the police successfully retrieved the body.

Youth Had Been Missing Since January 24

The deceased has been identified as Jeetram Meena, a resident of Gaonda Meena village. His family members stated that Jeetram was mentally challenged (of limited cognitive ability) and had been missing from home since January 24. The family had conducted an extensive search for him, but no leads had surfaced.

Post-mortem to be Conducted by a Medical Board

Given the gravity of the incident, the police summoned a medical board team from the District Hospital directly to the scene. In the presence of both the police and the family members, the necessary preliminary formalities (Panchnama) were completed, and the post-mortem process has been initiated.

The Station House Officer stated that the exact cause and time of death would only be ascertained once the post-mortem report is received. Currently, the police are actively engaged in investigating the matter.
