Hansika Motwani Divorce: The list of celebrity divorces has a new addition. Popular actress Hansika Motwani and businessman Sohel Kathuria have officially ended their marriage. Reports of troubles in their relationship had been circulating for quite some time, and now Mumbai’s Bandra Court has finalized their divorce. The couple, who were married for only four years, did not have any children.
Marriage and Separation
Hansika and Sohel tied the knot on December 4, 2022, in a grand ceremony. However, their married life faced challenges, and by three years into the marriage, rumors of discord started surfacing.
This was Sohel’s second marriage. Earlier, he had been married to Hansika’s close friend, Rinki Bajaj. Despite efforts from both families to reconcile the couple, the differences could not be resolved. The divorce was finalized by mutual consent, with the couple reportedly living separately since July 2024.
Reasons Behind the Divorce
During court proceedings, Hansika’s lawyer, Adnan Sheikh, revealed that the couple initially stayed together after marriage but soon realized significant differences in their personalities, outlooks, and lifestyles.
These differences led to frequent arguments over small matters, making cohabitation increasingly difficult. Hansika did not claim any alimony in the divorce settlement.
Hansika Motwani’s Career Journey
Hansika started her career as a child artist and gained popularity with the children’s TV show Sha Ka La Ka Boom Boom. She also appeared in Hrithik Roshan’s film Koi… Mil Gaya during her childhood.
Her entry into films began with the 2007 South Indian movie Desamuduru, starring alongside Allu Arjun, which earned her the Best Debut Actress award in the South Indian film industry. Hansika later appeared in multiple South Indian films and made her Bollywood debut with Himesh Reshammiya’s Aapka Surroor.
This divorce marks another chapter in the personal life of Hansika Motwani, who has been a well-recognized name in both South Indian cinema and Bollywood.
