Uttarakhand : Employee organizations, insisting on the arrest of Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Umesh Sharma in connection with the assault on Director of Elementary Education Ajay Nautiyal in Uttarakhand, have issued an ultimatum to close all state offices from Wednesday if their demands are not met.
The protesters clarified that the MLA should be immediately arrested in connection with the attack on the Director of Education to prove that law and order is equal for all.
Congress leaders warned that if immediate action is not taken, the movement will be expanded. The protesters said that the rule of law is supreme in a democracy and no public representative can be considered above the law.
