Arrest of SP spokesperson Manoj Yadav in Barabanki creates political stir

Barabanki/Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh politics was rocked on Friday when the police arrested Samajwadi Party national spokesperson Manoj Yadav. The action was taken based on a case registered at the Safdarganj police station, which alleges several serious charges, including threats and casteist remarks.

Wife files missing report :

SP spokesperson Manoj Yadav’s wife, Prabha Yadav, reported him missing at Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar Extension police station on February 13th. She stated that Manoj Yadav had left home to attend a family Tilak ceremony on February 12th, after which his mobile phone went off. When they were unable to contact him, the family filed a missing report.

Case already registered :

According to police officials, an FIR was filed against Manoj Yadav at the Safdarganj police station on February 11th. The complaint alleged that he had threatened a person and used casteist remarks. He was being sought in this case.

Upon receiving information about his presence in Barabanki, Safdarganj police, with the assistance of local police, detained him.

Manoj Yadav is considered an active figure in the party and is often seen representing the party in TV debates. He previously held important positions in the Mulayam Singh Yadav Youth Brigade. Consequently, his arrest has sparked discussion in political circles.
