During this tough phase, Aniket found support in his uncle, Amit Verma, who stepped in despite being only 15 years old at the time. Amit took the responsibility of raising him and brought him to Bhopal, where his grandmother Parvati Verma lived.
Under the care of his uncle and grandmother, Aniket grew up away from parental affection but surrounded by strong emotional support.
Cricket Dreams Take Shape in Bhopal
It was in Bhopal where Aniket’s interest in cricket started to grow. Recognizing his passion, his uncle enrolled him in a local cricket academy. His dedication and natural talent impressed coaches, who later guided him toward a bigger academy for advanced training.
His breakthrough came during the Madhya Pradesh Premier League 2024, where he played for Bhopal Leopards. In just five innings, he scored 244 runs at a striking rate of 205, making a strong statement.
IPL Breakthrough with Sunrisers Hyderabad
Aniket’s power-hitting abilities did not go unnoticed. During the IPL 2025 auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad picked him up for his base price of ₹30 lakh.
