Karauli, Rajasthan : In a significant development for the region, Sapotra MLA Hansraj Meena on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the Karanpur Valley road. The ceremony was organized near the Forest Range Chowki in Karanpur, where local residents and officials gathered to witness the event.
Project to Be Built at a Cost of ₹50 Crore
The Karanpur Valley road will be redeveloped at an estimated cost of ₹50 crore. According to officials, the project is being undertaken after a long gap of about 33 years, and once completed, it is expected to improve connectivity and transportation in the area.
Earlier Construction in 1992–93
The original construction of the Karanpur Valley route was carried out during 1992–93 when Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was serving as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Over time, the road required major repairs and redevelopment due to wear and increasing traffic needs.
Reconstruction Under the Current Government
The new reconstruction project has been approved under the government led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. Local representatives said the project became possible due to the continuous efforts of MLA Hansraj Meena.
Expected Boost to Regional Development
Residents believe that rebuilding the Karanpur Valley road will play an important role in strengthening local infrastructure. It is expected to make travel easier for nearby villages and support economic activities in the region.
Local people expressed enthusiasm over the start of the project, saying the long-awaited work will benefit the area for years to come.
