Jaipur, Rajasthan – Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma formally launched a state-wide cleanliness campaign on Saturday morning from the iconic Albert Hall Museum in Jaipur. The initiative marks the beginning of a week-long sanitation drive that will continue across the state until March 19.
The program is part of the celebrations surrounding Rajasthan Day, during which several public events and community initiatives are being organized throughout the state.

Chief Minister Participates in the Drive
During the launch event, the Chief Minister personally joined the cleanliness activity, sending a strong message about the importance of maintaining hygiene in public spaces. Addressing the gathering, he urged citizens to remain mindful of cleanliness in their daily lives and contribute to keeping their surroundings tidy.
Focus Beyond Just Cleaning Streets
Speaking at the event, Sharma highlighted that public awareness about sanitation has significantly improved over the past eight to ten years. According to him, the campaign is not limited to cleaning roads or drains; it is also aimed at bringing a positive shift in people’s habits and attitudes toward hygiene.

Vision for a Cleaner Future
The Chief Minister emphasized that the dream of a developed India by 2047 can only be achieved when every part of society actively supports cleanliness. Referring to the long-term vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” and “Viksit Rajasthan 2047,” he said that the goal requires clean homes, streets, parks, and well-maintained heritage monuments across the state.
Statewide Activities Planned
Officials said that various awareness drives, community clean-up programs, and public participation activities will take place across Rajasthan during the week. The campaign aims to encourage residents to take collective responsibility for maintaining hygiene in both urban and rural areas.
