Mandrayal, Karauli: Local residents staged a protest in front of the Sub-Divisional Office after water supply stopped in the town due to a broken pipeline near the old water tank for the past seven days in the areas of Shandilya Pada, Hanuman Pada, and Katra Pada of Mandrayal town.
People said that due to the drinking water shortage during the summer season, residents are facing serious difficulties. Locals also accused senior officials of the PHED (Public Health Engineering Department), stating that they had informed the department’s higher authorities about the issue several times, but the situation still remains unchanged.
During the protest, Panchayat Samiti member Manoj Singh Jadaun reached the spot along with the PHED Junior Engineer and persuaded the protesting residents, assuring them that the water supply would be restored soon so that people can get relief from the water shortage problem.
