Deepti Sharma : Agra’s star all-rounder, Deepti Sharma, will once again be seen playing in England’s popular women’s cricket tournament, The Hundred. Despite being selected for the team last time, she chose not to participate, prioritizing her World Cup preparations.
This decision later proved to be a wise one. Her stellar all-round performance in the World Cup played a crucial role in the Indian team’s historic achievement. However, her absence from the tournament also resulted in financial losses.
According to her brother, Sumit Sharma, Deepti put her country above personal gain and brought glory to her city and country by winning the Women’s World Cup.
Her return is expected to further increase the excitement among Indian fans for The Hundred. The player auction for this tournament will be held on March 11th and 12th, in which 17 Indian women cricketers will participate.
