Bharatpur: District Collector inspects ongoing development works in the city

Bharatpur, Rajasthan : District Collector Kamar Chaudhary conducted a surprise inspection on Sunday of various development works underway in the city along with officials from the BDA, Municipal Corporation, and the Public Works Department. He instructed the officials to ensure that construction work is completed within the stipulated time and with proper quality, and that the public does not face inconvenience in transportation.

The District Collector inspected the ongoing development works from Kumher Gate to Golpura Bypass, Station Road, Surajpol, Jaghina Gate, and Bijlighar, reviewing the progress in detail. Expressing displeasure over delays in shifting essential utilities, he directed officials to expedite the work.

He ordered that the shifting of sewerage, drinking water pipelines, and electricity lines at Kumher Gate be completed quickly and that the slab casting be finished by next Sunday. He also directed that the drain construction on both sides up to Top Circle and the work of undergrounding electricity, water, and telephone lines be completed simultaneously.

The Collector instructed that alternative routes should be arranged for the public while work is underway on the main roads. To accelerate the drain and other works coming from the Subhash Nagar side, he directed the removal of temporary stalls and carts on both sides of the roads and the creation of alternative routes.

Regarding the flyover construction from Hiradas to Kali Bagichi, he instructed officials to maintain the pace of construction and ensure that dust does not rise on alternative routes by laying a layer of asphalt and sprinkling water regularly during the day.

He also directed that asphalt be laid on alternative routes near Jaghina Gate, Ketan Gate, Govardhan Gate, Chandpol Gate, Kumher Gate, and Neemda Gate so that the public can move easily while construction work continues in the city.

During the inspection of the road widening work from Hiradas to Golpura, he instructed officials to identify encroachments obstructing the construction of an 80-feet-wide road with divider and drain according to the master plan and issue notices against them. He emphasized that drains should be constructed with proper quality to prevent waterlogging during the rainy season.

He directed that the drain construction in front of Kumher Gate vegetable market be completed quickly and that the electric poles on Station Road be removed after the power lines are shifted underground.

At Surajpol intersection, he instructed officials to remove all temporary encroachments up to the drain, including gantries, hoardings, and electricity poles.

During the review of the four-lane road construction from Mansingh Circle to Bajhera, he directed officials to identify encroachments on both sides of the road and issue notices.

The District Collector emphasized that all agencies must work together in a team spirit, start the work simultaneously, and complete it on time with quality. He also instructed that facilities such as electricity, water, telephone, and gas lines should be shifted underground while ensuring that the public does not face inconvenience in commuting.
