No Toll on Ganga Expressway for 15 Days; UP Govt Announces Heatwave Relief Measures

Lucknow: Commuters on the Ganga Expressway have been given temporary relief as no toll tax will be charged for the next 15 days. Officials have already prepared the toll rate proposal, which will be implemented after receiving approval from the state cabinet.

Temporary Toll-Free Travel

For now, vehicles can pass through the Ganga Expressway without paying any toll. Authorities have made it clear that this is a short-term decision, and toll collection will begin once the cabinet clears the proposal.

Toll Rates Ready, Awaiting Approval

The toll pricing structure has been finalized but is yet to be enforced. Once the cabinet gives the green signal, the charges will come into effect.

Revised Work Hours Due to Heatwave

With extreme heat and heatwave conditions affecting the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has introduced new working hours for laborers. The move is aimed at protecting workers from heat-related health risks.

Helpline and Control Room Set Up

To assist people during the heatwave, a state-level control room has been activated. A helpline number (1800-180-5160) has also been issued for quick support in case of emergencies.
