Rajasthan ACB Arrests Bandikui SDM Office Employee in ₹15,000 Bribe Trap

Bandikui, Dausa : In a significant anti-corruption action, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday arrested a government employee while allegedly accepting a bribe in Rajasthan’s Dausa district.

Accused Caught Taking Bribe

The accused, Aditya Sharma, is a laboratory assistant at a government senior secondary school in Baswa and is currently on deputation at the SDM office in Bandikui. He was caught red-handed while accepting ₹15,000 as a bribe, allegedly on behalf of Bandikui Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ramsingh Rajawat.

The operation was carried out by the ACB’s Alwar Unit-I following instructions from the ACB headquarters.

Complaint Led to Action

According to ACB officials, the action was initiated after a complaint was received on the ACB helpline (1064). The complainant alleged that a case titled “Mansi vs Shivlakhan and Others” had been filed in the SDM Court, Bandikui, on April 15, 2026.

After filing the case, the complainant was allegedly asked to pay ₹30,000 in exchange for a stay order. The demand was reportedly made through Aditya Sharma, who was acting as a middleman.

Verification Confirmed Demand

During verification conducted on April 17, 2026, ACB officials confirmed that ₹15,000 was being demanded as part of the total bribe amount. Following this, a trap operation was planned.

Trap Operation and Arrest

Under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police Bhuvan Bhushan, the ACB team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Shabbir Khan carried out the trap operation. Aditya Sharma was caught while accepting the bribe amount and was immediately taken into custody.

Investigation Continues

Senior officials, including Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava and Inspector General S. Parimala, are supervising the case. The accused is being interrogated, and a case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The ACB has stated that further investigation is ongoing, and additional action will be taken based on the findings.
