Rajasthan Budget 2026 : Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari presented the third full budget of the Bhajan Lal government in the Assembly, making several important announcements regarding employment and infrastructure.
In her budget speech, she stated that the state government’s focus will be on providing better drinking water facilities to the general public and providing extensive employment opportunities to the youth.
Recruitment for 3,000 posts for drinking water schemes
The Finance Minister announced that large-scale recruitment will be made in the contract cadre to strengthen the operation and maintenance of drinking water schemes. The 1,050 technical positions announced in the previous budget will now be expanded to a total of 3,000, strengthening the water supply system in rural and urban areas.
Target of 1.25 Lakh Government Jobs
The government has set a target of 125,000 new government recruitments in the coming year. Additionally, plans are underway to provide employment to 150,000 youth in the private sector. The government claims that this will provide significant opportunities for the youth of the state.
Fire Warriors to Receive Special Reservation
The Deputy Chief Minister announced that Fire Warriors will receive special reservation in recruitment for the police, prison, and forest departments. This step is aimed at prioritizing young people returning from military service in state services.

3,500 New Recruitments in the Police Department
To further strengthen law and order in the state, 3,500 police personnel will be recruited. Appointments to these posts will begin in the next financial year.
Promotion of Skill Development
The government will provide skill training to 50,000 youth. To this end, a ‘Vishwakarma Skill Institute’ will be established in Kota at a cost of ₹150 crore, providing modern technical and vocational training.
Employment in the Animal Husbandry Sector
To strengthen animal husbandry services, 100 veterinary doctors and 1,000 veterinary inspectors will also be recruited.
The government says that through these initiatives, special attention will be paid to job creation, infrastructure expansion, and strengthening the service sector, so that the state’s economic growth can be given a new direction.
