The achievements reflect a remarkable year for India across formats, with both men’s and women’s players earning top recognition.
Deepti Sharma and Abhishek Sharma Take Top Honors
Among the biggest highlights, Deepti Sharma was named Women’s Cricketer of the Year for her exceptional bowling display in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, where she picked up 22 wickets.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma earned the T20 Cricketer of the Year award after a phenomenal 2025 season. He scored 859 runs in 21 matches at a stunning strike rate of 193, including one century and five half-centuries.
Four Indians in Wisden’s Five Cricketers of the Year
India’s dominance was further evident as four players — Shubman Gill, Mohammed Siraj, Rishabh Pant, and Ravindra Jadeja — were named among Wisden’s Five Cricketers of the Year.
Their selection was based on their impressive performances during India’s Test tour of England last year.

Indian Test captain Shubman Gill led from the front, scoring 754 runs in the five-match series and playing a crucial role in helping India secure a 2-2 draw.Fast bowler Mohammed Siraj emerged as the leading wicket-taker with 23 scalps in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
Rishabh Pant contributed 479 runs before missing the final Test due to injury. Notably, he showed immense grit by scoring 54 runs in Manchester despite suffering a fractured toe.
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also played a vital role with consistent performances throughout the series.

Apart from Indian players, Mitchell Starc was honored as the World’s Best Men’s Cricketer for his exceptional performances.
