India Post 147 After Middle-Order Collapse

Batting first, India managed to put up 147 runs in their 20 overs. At one stage, the visitors looked set for a strong total, but a sudden collapse in the middle order halted their momentum and prevented them from crossing the 150-run mark.

Shafali Verma was the standout performer for India, scoring a fluent 57 runs. Anushka Sharma also contributed with 28 runs, but lacked support from the other end.

For South Africa, Tumi Sekhukhune and Chloe Tryon led the bowling attack brilliantly, picking up three wickets each and breaking India’s rhythm at crucial moments.

Wolvaardt and Luus Power South Africa’s Chase

Chasing 148, South Africa’s opening pair of Laura Wolvaardt and Sune Luus made the target look easy with a dominant 106-run partnership. The duo controlled the game from the start and never allowed India to settle into a defensive rhythm.

Wolvaardt scored a solid 54 before getting out, while Luus played a more aggressive knock of 57 runs, anchoring the chase beautifully.

South Africa comfortably reached the target in just 17.1 overs, sealing a comprehensive win.

India Struggle With the BallIndia’s bowling unit failed to create consistent pressure, with Shreyanka Patil being the only bowler to make an impact by picking up two wickets. The rest of the attack struggled to contain the South African batters, who dominated throughout the innings.
