New Delhi: In a significant political development on Friday, Raghav Chadha, a Rajya Sabha MP from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), announced his decision to leave the party. Along with him, fellow MPs Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal also stepped down from AAP and declared their entry into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Meeting with BJP Leadership

Soon after resigning from AAP, the three leaders met BJP’s national president Nitin Naveen. During the meeting, they were formally welcomed into the party, marking a high-profile addition to the BJP’s ranks.

Warm Welcome from BJP Leaders

Reacting to the development, BJP leader Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa shared a video message on Instagram. He praised the move and extended a warm welcome to the leaders.

Bajwa described Chadha as a young and energetic politician and said that leaders who genuinely wish to serve society eventually align themselves with an ideology that prioritizes collective growth and development. He also welcomed Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal, expressing confidence in their future contributions to the party.

What This Means for AAP

The exit of prominent Rajya Sabha MPs is being seen as a major setback for AAP, especially at a time when the party is trying to expand its national footprint. The move could reshape political equations in the coming months.
