Bharatpur, Rajasthan : A heartbreaking road accident in the Sewar police station area on Monday afternoon claimed the life of a woman who ran a small tiffin service to support her family. The incident took place around 12 noon on Golpura Road when a speeding tanker collided head-on with her scooter.
Fatal Collision on Golpura Road
According to eyewitnesses, the impact of the crash was extremely severe. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Aarti, was thrown off her scooter and came under the rear wheel of the tanker. She died instantly due to critical head injuries. The force of the accident scattered the tiffins she was carrying across the road, leaving the scene chaotic and distressing.
Driver Flees, Locals Step In
After the accident, the tanker driver fled the spot along with the vehicle. However, alert locals managed to note down the registration number and immediately informed the police. Authorities have launched a search operation to trace the absconding driver.
A Daily Routine Turned Fatal
Aarti, a resident of Maharasar village, used to run a tiffin service to support her household. Like every day, she had stepped out on her scooter to deliver food to her customers when the tragic accident occurred. Her identity was later confirmed by her brother Sumit based on the scooter’s registration details.
Family Left Devastated
She is survived by her husband Ketan, a farmer, and their two young children — 12-year-old Manvi and 9-year-old Krishna. The sudden loss has left the family and the entire village in deep shock and grief.
Police Action Underway
Police have taken custody of the body and placed it in the mortuary for post-mortem. Further investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to apprehend the tanker driver responsible for the accident.
