Bharatpur Jeweler Murder Case: Police Intensify Probe After Family’s Hunger Strike Warning

Bharatpur, Rajasthan :A major development emerged in Nadbai town on Wednesday amid rising public anger over the unresolved robbery and murder of jeweler Yogendra Chopra. The incident occurred on the evening of March 25 when he was returning home from his shop. Even after 20 days, the accused remain at large.

Family’s Hunger Strike Warning Sparks Action

The situation escalated after the victim’s wife warned that she would begin a hunger strike from April 15 if the culprits were not arrested. In response, Bharatpur Superintendent of Police Digant Anand visited the victim’s home to meet the grieving family.

Police Assurance Brings Temporary Relief

The SP expressed condolences and briefed the family on the progress of the investigation. He assured them that multiple police teams are actively working on the case and are close to identifying the suspects. Following this assurance, the victim’s wife decided to temporarily postpone her planned protest.

Senior Officials Review Investigation

Meanwhile, Bharatpur Range Inspector General Kailash Chand Vishnoi also visited Nadbai and held a high-level meeting with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) working under the SP’s supervision.

Probe to Cover All Angles

The IG carefully reviewed the evidence collected so far and evaluated the current status of the investigation. He directed officials to examine every possible angle to ensure that those responsible for the crime are arrested at the earliest.

Investigation Continues

Police officials have reaffirmed their commitment to solving the case soon, as pressure continues to mount from the victim’s family and local residents seeking justice.
