The left-handed batter achieved this landmark during the first T20I against South Africa women’s national cricket team on Friday, April 17, at Kingsmead Cricket Ground.
Record Broken Despite a Modest Knock
Interestingly, Mandhana didn’t need a big innings to reach the milestone. She scored just 13 runs in the match, but that was enough to take her overall tally to 4,244 T20I runs. In doing so, she went past former Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who previously held the record with 4,231 runs.
