IPL 2026 : In the 23rd match of IPL 2026, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) faced Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 15. After winning the toss, RCB opted to bowl first.

Batting first, LSG struggled to build a big total and were eventually bowled out for 146 runs in 20 overs. The innings saw solid contributions from the top order, with Mitchell Marsh scoring the highest 40 runs. Mukul Chaudhary added 39 runs, while Ayush Badoni chipped in with 38 runs to help the team reach a fighting total.

RCB bowlers delivered a disciplined performance, with Rasikh picking up four crucial wickets and Bhuvneshwar Kumar claiming three wickets to restrict LSG below par.

RCB Face Early Setbacks in the Chase

Chasing 147, RCB did not get an ideal start as they lost Phil Salt early in the second over. Devdutt Padikkal also failed to convert his start and was dismissed for 10 runs, putting some pressure on the chase.

However, Virat Kohli steadied the innings with a composed knock of 49 runs off 34 balls. He was well supported by Rajat Patidar, who scored a quick 27 runs off just 13 deliveries, and Jitesh Sharma, who added 23 runs from 9 balls, providing the finishing momentum.

RCB Seal Fourth Win of the Season

Despite early wickets, RCB maintained control of the chase and successfully reached the target of 147 runs in just 15.1 overs with 5 wickets in hand. This win marked their fourth victory of the IPL 2026 season, boosting their position in the points table.
