New Delhi : India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar has wrapped up his two-day visit to United Arab Emirates, marking another step in strengthening bilateral ties. During the visit, he met UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and personally conveyed a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Talks on Energy, Trade and Strategic Partnership
Discussions between the leaders centered on expanding cooperation in energy, boosting trade relations, and deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations. The meeting was also attended by Dubai Crown Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, reflecting the importance of the engagement.
Separate Talks with UAE Foreign Minister
Jaishankar also held a separate meeting with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Their talks focused on regional stability, the ongoing tensions in West Asia, and coordinated efforts to ensure the safe evacuation of Indian nationals if needed.
Engagement with Indian Community
Upon his arrival on Saturday, the minister interacted with members of the Indian diaspora in the UAE. He highlighted the Indian government’s commitment to ensuring their safety amid rising regional uncertainties.

The visit is part of India’s broader diplomatic outreach to secure energy supplies from Gulf nations. The UAE remains India’s third-largest trading partner, making such high-level engagements crucial for economic and strategic cooperation.

Jaishankar’s UAE stop marked the final leg of his four-day tour. Earlier, he participated in the 9th Indian Ocean Conference held in Mauritius, underscoring India’s focus on regional collaboration and maritime partnerships.
