Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia : Kota’s rising boxing star Arundhati Chaudhary has made the nation proud by clinching a gold medal at the Asian Boxing Championship held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The tournament began on March 28 and witnessed top talent from across Asia competing at the highest level.

Dominant Performance in the Final

Arundhati delivered an excellent performance in the final bout, defeating Kazakhstan’s top boxer Bakit Seidish with a convincing 4-1 scoreline. The match, played across three rounds, clearly showcased Arundhati’s control and skill, as she remained dominant throughout.

Excellence in the 70 kg Category

Competing in the senior women’s 70 kg weight category, Arundhati secured the gold medal with confidence and precision. Her victory has been widely appreciated, with congratulations pouring in from the Boxing Federation of India and sports enthusiasts.

Coach and Family Express Pride

Her early coach, Ashok Gautam from Mahabali Sports Academy in Kota, described the bout as largely one-sided, praising Arundhati’s strong technique and control over her opponent.

Arundhati’s father, Suresh Chaudhary, who is also the president of the district boxing association, expressed immense pride in his daughter’s achievement. He said she continues to bring glory to the country and is expected to represent India at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Her mother, Sunita Chaudhary, also shared her happiness, stating that Arundhati’s success has brought honor not just to their family, but to Kota and the entire state of Rajasthan.

Strong Journey to the Final

Before the final, Arundhati defeated Uzbekistan’s Oysia Thirov in the semi-final with a similar 4-1 margin, further proving her consistency and strength in the tournament.

Rising Star on the International Stage

This marks Arundhati’s second major achievement at the international senior level. Earlier, she won a gold medal at the World Cup in November 2025. She has also secured multiple gold medals in youth and junior international competitions, highlighting her steady rise in the world of boxing.
