Bollywood – Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor, currently gearing up for her highly anticipated film Peddi alongside South superstar Ram Charan, recently shared a chilling chapter from her past. The actress opened up about the dark side of fame and the digital world, recalling a “deeply disturbing” incident that occurred when she was just a teenager.

A Shocking Discovery in the Classroom

In a candid conversation with Raj Shamani, Janhvi recounted an experience from her school days that left her shaken. At the age of 15, long before her official debut in cinema, she discovered that her identity had been compromised online.

“I don’t know if it was a deepfake or something else, but my picture was on a porn site,” Janhvi shared.

She explained that the discovery happened in the most awkward setting imaginable—her school’s IT lab.

“During IT class, boys would open such sites as a joke, and there I was. It was an incredibly strange and upsetting experience for a young girl.”

The Modern Battle with AI and Misinformation

The actress expressed her ongoing frustration with how technology is used to exploit public figures. She noted that even today, she frequently encounters AI-generated images of herself that are entirely fabricated.

Zero Consent: Janhvi clarified that many viral images showing her in suggestive clothing or poses are completely fake.

The Professional Toll: She highlighted a serious concern regarding her career. If she refuses a specific costume or scene with a director, these morphed images are often used against her as “proof” that she has done similar work before, despite the photos being fraudulent.

The Fear of Speaking Out

Despite the emotional and professional damage, Janhvi admitted that navigating these waters is difficult. She voiced a sentiment shared by many in the industry: the fear of backlash. She noted that while the lack of ethics on social media is glaring, she often feels she doesn’t have a loud enough voice to complain without facing a negative public reaction.

What’s Next for Janhvi?

On the work front, Janhvi was last seen in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which received a warm response from the audience. Fans are now eagerly waiting for April 30, the tentative release date for Peddi.

While there are whispers that the makers might push the release date further, the excitement to see the Janhvi-Ram Charan duo on the big screen remains at an all-time high.
