Karauli, Rajasthan : Under the ongoing Campaign against illegal narcotics, Karauli police have achieved another success. Acting under the direction of SP Lokesh Sonwal, the Sadar Hindaun police station team arrested an accused along with illegal smack.
During a naka checking operation, the police team, led by Station Officer Purushottam, apprehended the accused Parvat Singh alias Kalla Meena (26 years). A total of 5.88 grams of illegal smack was recovered from his possession. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth around ₹90,000 in the international market.
The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act and further interrogation is underway. More information regarding other individuals involved in illegal drug trafficking is likely to emerge during questioning.
Police officials stated that the campaign against illegal narcotics will continue, and strict action will be taken in such cases going forward.
