Who Is Shweta Pundir? Influencer Who Married RCB Cricketer Yash Dayal

Yash Dayal Marriage: Royal Challengers Bengaluru fast bowler Yash Dayal has recently been making headlines not just for cricket but also for developments in his personal life. The 28-year-old reportedly tied the knot with content creator Shweta Pundir on February 4 in Noida.

The ceremony was kept extremely private, with only close family members and relatives present. Interestingly, no major figures from the cricketing world were spotted at the event. Dayal himself has not publicly commented on the marriage so far.

However, the news surfaced after Pundir shared a video on Instagram, indirectly confirming their wedding and ending the speculation surrounding their relationship.

Controversies Overshadow the Celebration

While the wedding took place quietly, Dayal’s life off the field has been surrounded by serious legal controversies. A woman had earlier accused the cricketer of exploiting her under the pretext of marriage. The case created a major stir and raised the possibility of his arrest.

In January 2026, the Rajasthan High Court granted him anticipatory bail, offering temporary relief in the matter. Without that legal protection, the case could have led to his detention.

Another Case Adds to the Trouble

Dayal is also facing allegations in a separate case involving a minor cricketer. A girl from Jaipur claimed that in 2023, when she was 17, the fast bowler allegedly misused his influence by promising to help her career in cricket.

An FIR has reportedly been registered at Sanganer Sadar police station in Jaipur regarding the complaint. Dayal’s legal team, however, has dismissed the allegations as an attempt to frame the player, questioning why the complaint surfaced nearly two years after the alleged incident. The court has granted him interim protection in this matter as well.

Who Is Shweta Pundir?

Shweta Pundir, Dayal’s wife, is a Delhi-based social media influencer and vlogger. She has built a sizable online presence, with over 587,000 followers on Instagram. Apart from content creation, she has also worked as a broadcaster for the Intercontinental Legends League, gaining attention among cricket audiences as well.

Focus Shifts Back to Cricket

Despite the controversies, Dayal’s professional career continues. The left-arm pacer is expected to return in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League wearing the jersey of Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

He was part of the RCB squad that lifted the IPL trophy last season. Although fans often recall the famous five sixes he conceded to Rinku Singh in a dramatic match, Dayal managed to bounce back strongly afterward. His performances even earned him a place in India’s Test squad, though he is still waiting for his international debut.

For now, the fast bowler’s career and personal life remain under close public scrutiny as both his cricket journey and legal battles continue to unfold.
