Nitish Kumar to Move to Rajya Sabha, Plans New Development Tour in Bihar

Patna, Bihar– Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has decided to step away from active state politics and pursue a seat in the Rajya Sabha. He filed his nomination on Thursday, March 5, confirming his commitment to continue supporting the new government and working for the development of Bihar.

Commitment to Bihar Continues

Despite moving to the Rajya Sabha, Nitish Kumar has pledged to remain actively involved in Bihar’s progress. To honor his promise and thank the people, he will embark on a new “Prosperity Journey” across the state. This initiative aims to review ongoing development projects and assess local implementation of key government schemes.

Third Phase of Development Tour Starts from Katihar

The third phase of Nitish Kumar’s statewide journey is scheduled to begin on March 12 from Katihar district. During this visit, he will inspect progress-related projects under the “Pragati Yatra” program and other important district-level initiatives.

Next Generation Enters Politics

Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, has officially entered politics. He joined the Janata Dal (United) party on Sunday, March 8. Party sources indicate that Nishant is also preparing for a public outreach tour, which may commence from Champaran district.
