Jalore, Rajasthan : A worrying picture has emerged from Shritalaji Government Higher Secondary School, Mandwala, located in Mandwala village, Jalore district. A case of underage students being made to do school work has surfaced.
The photo clearly shows students in school uniforms carrying gas cylinders. According to reports, school teachers send children to fill gas cylinders and other tasks.
This not only poses a threat to children’s safety but also violates the Right to Education and child labor laws. Children’s job is to study, but making them do such tasks raises many questions.
