IAF Su-30MKI Fighter Jet Crashes in Assam, Two Pilots Killed

IAF Su-30MKI Fighter Jet Crashed: An Indian Air Force Su-30MKI fighter jet crashed in Assam during a training mission on Thursday evening. The aircraft had taken off from Jorhat but lost radar contact at around 7:42 PM.

The wreckage was later found in Karbi Anglong district, about 60 kilometers from Jorhat. Squadron Leader Anuj and Flight Lieutenant Purvesh Duragkar, who were flying the jet, died in the crash.

The Indian Air Force expressed deep condolences to the families of the officers and said it stands with them during this difficult time. A detailed investigation has been ordered to find out the cause of the accident.
