Sarmathura, Dholpur : The body of an unidentified man found hanging in the town of Sarmathura (Dholpur) 3 days ago remained unidentified. Despite repeated efforts and public appeals for identification, no family members or acquaintances came forward, leading to the police administration’s final rites on Tuesday. Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the case.
It is noteworthy that on Sunday, the body of a man in his 40s ( Years ) was found hanging from a noose outside a small shop in the Bari bus stand area. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and began efforts to identify it. Information was also circulated through social media and local media, but no concrete information was obtained for three days.
On Tuesday, a post-mortem examination was conducted at the Sarmathura CHC mortuary under the supervision of medical officer Dr. Gorelal. ASI Jalbir Singh was also present. Station House Officer Harendra Singh stated that the deceased was approximately 40 years old.
He had a light beard and moustache and was wearing a ready-made checkered shirt and dark brown pajamas. No identification card or documents were recovered from him during the search.
In the absence of identification, the body was cremated in the presence of police officials at the Muktidham in Sarmathura, near the Khair River. Police are still investigating the case from various angles to identify the deceased and establish the circumstances of the incident.
