Swami Avimukteshwaranand POCSO Case : The special POCSO court in Prayagraj has issued a significant order directing the registration of an FIR against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati. The court found that the allegations of sexual abuse were prima facie serious and warranted a thorough investigation. His disciple, Swami Mukundanand Giri, is also involved in the case.
This order was passed by the court of ADJ (POCSO) Vinod Kumar Chaurasia. The court clearly stated that the allegations made in the complaint cannot be ignored, and therefore, the police should immediately register an FIR and initiate a fair and thorough investigation.
Case sprung into action after a petition
The case began with a petition filed by Ashutosh Brahmachari. He filed a petition in the court under Section 173(4) seeking an investigation into the allegations and the registration of an FIR. He stated that the aggrieved party had been denied justice for a long time, necessitating the court’s recourse.
After examining the documents and facts presented, the court concluded that a case was worthy of registration. Following this, the concerned police station was directed to take necessary legal action.
Case to be registered at Jhunsi Police Station
As per the court order, this case will now be registered at Jhunsi Police Station. Police officials have stated that the court’s instructions will be fully followed and the investigation will proceed impartially. A detailed investigation will be conducted, taking into account the evidence, witnesses, and circumstances.

“We got justice” – Ashutosh Brahmachari
Ashutosh Brahmachari claimed that he had submitted a CD related to the alleged incidents to the court. He described the court’s decision as an important step towards justice.
He also announced that he would undertake a foot march from Prayagraj to Vidya Math, Varanasi, to convey his side of the story to the public.
