Vinod Jakhar NSUI National President : Vinod Jakhar, a young leader close to Sachin Pilot, has been appointed the national president of the Congress student organization, the National Student Union of India (NSUI). Vinod Jakhar is currently the state president of NSUI. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal issued the order for his appointment.
Vinod Jakhar has previously served as the president of the Rajasthan University Students’ Union. Rahul Gandhi himself recently conducted interviews for the position of NSUI national president. Nirmal Chaudhary from Rajasthan was also among those who took the interview.
Vinod Jakhar was arrested and jailed by the police on September 30, 2025, for allegedly vandalizing an RSS arms worship program at Rajasthan University. He spent 17 days in jail. He was granted bail by the High Court on October 17, 2025.

Following Vinod Jakhar’s appointment as national president, a new leader will be appointed to the post of NSUI state president in Rajasthan. Several leaders are contending for the position.
