Sikar, Rajasthan – Chief District Education Officer Surendra Singh Shekhawat stated that the 2026 selection test for the two girls’ Sainik Schools included in the first phase of the Chief Minister’s Budget Announcement for the year 2024-25 will be held on March 8, 2026, at all district headquarters across the state.
He stated that this selection test will provide admission to Pujya Ramidevi Ramnarayan Rathi Girls’ Sainik School, Jaimalsar (Bikaner) and Maharao Shekhaji Girls’ Sainik School, Sikar. This test is being conducted for the first time by the Education Department. A total of 80 seats have been allocated for each girls’ Sainik School.
Girls in grades 5 and 6 studying in all government and private schools across the state can apply for this selection test. Online applications are being invited through the Shala Darpan portal from January 12 to January 20, 2026.
The selection test will be based on the 5th grade syllabus, consisting of 25 questions each from Hindi, English, Mathematics, and Environment. This will result in a multiple-choice question paper with a total of 100 questions. Candidates will be required to mark their answers on an OMR sheet. A health check-up will also be conducted for girls selected in the written test.
Reservation in the admission process will be applicable as per state government regulations. The Chief District Education Officer has urged candidates to thoroughly study the department’s guidelines before applying and ensure timely online application through the Shala Darpan portal.
