Cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi : The state government honored Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who brought glory to the country and Bihar with his outstanding performance in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026. Nitish Kumar presented him with a cheque of ₹50 lakh and a shawl at a function held at the Sankalp Sabhagar on Aney Marg on Sunday (February 22, 2026).
Vaibhav becomes an inspiration for the new generation
The Chief Minister said that Vaibhav played a crucial role in the tournament and, through his hard work and talent, has instilled new hope in Indian cricket. Extending his best wishes, he urged Vaibhav to continue performing in the same manner and set new records for the country.

Special gift received after IPL performance
On the other hand, Vaibhav Suryavanshi also received a special gift. He was gifted a new Curve model car by Tata Motors. According to the operator of the Tata showroom in Patna, Vaibhav personally visited the car with his father. This achievement marks another memorable moment for him, following his impressive performance at the IPL’s Best Striker of the Series.
Following his impressive performances at the Under-19 level, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is being seen as the future of Indian cricket, and his success is inspiring young players from Bihar.
