Karauli, Rajasthan| To personally assess heatwave preparedness at medical institutions and review the status of HPV vaccination beneficiaries, CMHO Dr. Satish Chand Meena conducted a surprise inspection of the Parita and Saypur CHCs, as well as the Gunesra PHC. During the inspection at Saypur, show-cause notices were issued to staff members found to be absent.
He gathered information regarding the arrangements made to combat the heatwave, specifically inquiring about the reservation of beds in wards and the provision of air coolers and air conditioners.
After reviewing the status of HPV vaccination coverage in the region, he directed the in-charge officials of the institutions to actively encourage girls aged 14 to 15 in local schools to undergo vaccination.

Furthermore, he issued strict instructions to health workers to ensure the availability of essential medicines at the institutions, improve sanitation standards, and strictly adhere to prescribed duty hours while wearing the designated uniforms.
He emphasized the need to explain the importance of HPV vaccination within schools and to counsel parents, informing them how the HPV vaccine helps in reducing the risk of cervical cancer. He noted that this approach would not only help achieve our vaccination targets but also ensure that a large number of girls are protected from cervical cancer in the futureāan achievement of immense significance for us.
He instructed the officials in charge to inform the parents of these girls that the HPV vaccine is considered highly effective in preventing cervical cancer and that timely vaccination can significantly mitigate future health risks.
