INCOIS Recruitment 2026: The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services, which functions under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, has announced a fresh recruitment drive for 2026. A total of five vacancies have been released for the posts of Scientist Assistant and Scientist ‘C’. Candidates interested in working in the ocean information and research sector can submit their applications online until May 11, 2026.
Selection Process
The recruitment process varies depending on the post:
- Scientist Assistant: Candidates will be selected through a written examination.
- Scientist ‘C’: Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview.
Eligibility Criteria
Post Code 1 – Scientist Assistant
Applicants must hold a B.Sc. degree with at least 60% marks (first class) in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Electronics. Candidates with a 3-year diploma in Computer Engineering or Electronics (first class) are also eligible.
Post Code 2 – Scientist Assistant
Candidates should have a B.Sc. degree with a minimum of 60% marks (first class) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Electronics, or an equivalent qualification.
Post Code 3 – Scientist Assistant
A B.Sc. degree with at least 60% marks (first class) or equivalent is required, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Library & Information Science.
Post Code 4 – Scientist Assistant (Scientific ‘C’ Category)
Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree (M.Sc./M.Tech./MCA) in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related fields. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science/IT) with at least 60% marks is acceptable.
Post Code 5 – Scientist ‘C’
Applicants should have an M.Sc. or M.Tech. degree in Oceanography, Marine Science, Climate Science, or related disciplines, with a minimum of 60% marks (first class) or equivalent.

- Scientist ‘C’ Level 11 : 67,700 – 2,08,700-
