French Actress Nadia Farès Passes Away : French actress Nadia Farès, best known for her role in The Crimson Rivers, has passed away at the age of 57. She died on Sunday after remaining in a coma for several days following a cardiac arrest.

According to her daughters, Farès was found unconscious in a swimming pool in Paris last week. Despite medical efforts, she never regained consciousness.

Family Confirms the News

In a statement shared with Agence France-Presse, her daughters, Cylia and Shana Chasman, expressed deep grief over their mother’s passing.

They described her as not only a celebrated artist in France but, more importantly, a loving mother whose absence leaves a profound void in their lives.

Cylia also shared an emotional tribute on social media, writing about the unbearable pain of losing her mother and expressing gratitude for the love, strength, and memories Farès gave her family.

A Career Spanning Decades

Nadia Farès began her acting journey in 1990 with a small role in the television series Navarro. She made her film debut two years later with My Wife’s Girlfriends.

Over the years, she built a diverse body of work across film and television. Some of her notable projects include Tell Me Yes…, War, the series Marseille, Luther, and her recent project Toujours possible.

Life Beyond the Screen

Farès married film producer Steve Chasman in 2002. In 2009, she stepped away from acting for a period after moving to the United States with her family.

In recent years, she had been preparing to step behind the camera. She was set to begin work this September on her first feature film as a director and screenwriter—an action-comedy project developed with Studios TF1.

Nadia Farès leaves behind a legacy of strong performances and artistic dedication. Her journey from television beginnings to international cinema reflected years of persistence and passion.
