Tamil Nadu : Soon after C. Joseph Vijay officially assumed office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi extended his congratulations and shared a public message welcoming the political change in the state.

Rahul’s message quickly drew attention, especially as Tamil Nadu entered a new political chapter under the leadership of Vijay and his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).

TVK did not have enough numbers on its own to form the government after the election results.In a significant political move, Indian National Congress decided to end its alliance with Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and extended support to Vijay’s party.

Congress backed TVK with the support of its five legislators, a move that played a crucial role in helping Vijay secure the numbers needed to form the government.

The Congress decision has triggered fresh political discussions across Tamil Nadu, with many seeing it as the beginning of new alliances and shifting equations in the state’s political landscape.
