Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set for a packed schedule on Sunday, May 10, with key events lined up in Karnataka and Telangana. The Prime Minister shared details of his day’s engagements through social media, highlighting a mix of spiritual, developmental, and political programs.
To Attend Art of Living’s 45th Anniversary in Karnataka
PM Modi will begin his day at 11 AM in Karnataka, where he will participate in the 45th anniversary celebrations of Art of Living Foundation.
Ahead of the event, the Prime Minister praised the organization for its contribution to social welfare, saying its members have consistently worked in line with the spirit of service and community development.
Hyderabad Visit to Focus on Infrastructure Push
After the Karnataka event, PM Modi will travel to Hyderabad, where he is scheduled to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth around ₹9,500 crore.
The projects cover several sectors, including roads, logistics, textiles, railways, energy, and other infrastructure-related areas. During the visit, the Prime Minister will also dedicate Sindhu Hospital to the people of the state.
Foundation Stone for Major Highway Expansion
One of the key projects during the Hyderabad visit will be the foundation stone for the four-laning of National Highway 167 from Gudebellur to Mahbubnagar under the Hyderabad–Panaji Economic Corridor.
The project, valued at over ₹3,000 crore, is expected to significantly improve regional connectivity. Once completed, travel time on this route is expected to reduce by nearly one hour and thirty minutes.The upgraded highway is expected to strengthen transport links between Telangana and Karnataka while supporting industrial growth in both states.
Political Rally Scheduled in Hyderabad
Later in the evening, PM Modi will address a public rally in Hyderabad.
Ahead of the event, he said the people of Telangana are looking toward the Bharatiya Janata Party after being disappointed with the governance of both the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and the Indian National Congress in the state.
The Prime Minister said the growing public support for BJP reflects the party’s increasing acceptance as the preferred political choice in Telangana.
Reference to BJP’s Recent Electoral Success
PM Modi also referred to the BJP’s recent strong electoral performance in states such as West Bengal and Assam, where the party has recently formed governments. The swearing-in ceremony in West Bengal was held on May 9, marking another major political milestone for the party.
